Explanation of "Snow Days" in PWCS

PWCS Schools Closed Tuesday, Feb. 9 on Code Red

All Prince William County Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, February 9, on Code Red. The School Age Care Program will not open.

Superintendent Presents Proposed FY2011 Budget

Reduced funding, increased student enrollment equal $79 million gap for FY2011. Dr. Steven L. Walts, Superintendent of Schools, presented his proposed budget for next year at the Feb. 3 School Board meeting. Read more.

Kindergarten Registration for 2010-11

Kindergarten registration for the 2010–11 school year is set for Wednesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 28 at individual schools. Parents should contact their school for specific registration times. Read more.

Rehearsal and Talent Show Postponed

Due to recent days off, the Springwoods Talent show Dress rehearsal and Show have been postponed. No new date has been set yet. More information to come.

3rd Grade Performance

Due to recent snow days the Springwoods 3rd grade performance will be postponed. The new date is Thursday, Feb. 18, at 7:00 PM. We hope to see you there!

Girls on the Run- Spring Registration

The lottery registration for the Spring season of Girls on the Run begins Saturday, February 6th and runs through February 14th for girls in grades 3-5. A maximum of 20 participants will be randomly selected from among those who register. Practice begins on Monday, March 1st and runs through mid-May on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30 p.m. www.gotrnova.org

Principal's Coffee, Woodbridge Middle School- Gender Program

Principal's Coffee, February 3rd 7 :00 p.m. in the Springwoods Library. Come and meet Mr. Skyles Calhoun, principal of Woodbridge Middle School. Mr. Calhoun will answer parents' questions and present information about WMS, including the same gender program offered there.
